“Batumi”, the fourth single by German lofi heavyweight LESKY and UK guitarist Waywell, captures the essence of the eponymous city on the south-east coast of the Black Sea. The glamourous scenery and many casinos have earned Batumi, the second biggest city in Georgia, a reputation as the Las Vegas of the Black Sea.

Expats LESKY and Waywell met in Tbilisi, Georgia where they shared a studio space. LESKY’s chilled but crisp production and Waywell’s dreamy guitar riffs were a perfect match from scratch! After a few weeks of long night-time sessions, they had crafted a new hybrid sound that we call lofi yacht pop. A wavy mix of lofi and cosmic with a subliminal yacht rock vibe. You don't have to take it too seriously, but it is the perfect soundtrack for imaginary beach cruises and pool parties alike. ‘Batumi’ is the final single off the EP Whitecaps, which is to be released on Dec 10th via Melting Pot Music.
